Nigerian Designer, Gets Harper's Bazaar Feature
Nigerian born, designer Yemi Osunkoya has just been featured by international magazine Harper's Bazaar. The man behind fashion power house 'Kosibah' celebrated his birthday last Saturday (23rd of April to be precise) and is still basking in the success of his fashion outing at the Oaken wedding event featuring Preston Bailey. In the interview he talked about an array of issues from his prediction on what Kate Middleton will wear on her wedding day to what got him into the bridal couture business.
On what got him into the business he had this to say, "It's a bit of a cliché, but ever since I was about 6 or 7, I would draw," says the Nigerian native. "I'd come back from the weddings and draw what I'd seen. Then I started putting my own ideas into my drawings and not just copying what I had seen".

Nigerian Gets Royal Wedding Invite
A Nigerian Mr Seyi Obakin is going to be among the 1,900 guest who have the rare honour of attending the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. Mr Seyi is the Chief Executive of Centrepoint, a charity which caters to homeless youths of which the Prince William is a patron.
I really can not wait to see what Kate will wear on her wedding day. There has been many predictions from different people including designers with our very own Yemi Osunkoya predicting that........... well i leave his prediction for another post. I can'a say if she will wear the traditional big ballroom gown, if it will have a very long train like her mother inlaw's gown or if it will be a modern fish tail cut, what i know however is that the dress will end up being an iconic one .

Ex NYSC member
Obinna Okpokiri . He
was beaten to death, butchered
and set ablaze during the
'senseless mayhem'.
Independent National Electoral Commission has called up its reservists to take up electoral duties.
Several corps members engaged as INEC ad-hoc staff in northern Nigeria were forced to abandon their duty posts after their colleagues were hacked to death by rampaging youths in a post-election violence after the April 16 presidential election. Our correspondent gathered in Abuja, on Sunday that the commission in response to reports from its field officers in the worst affected states, decided to engage the services of non-NYSC ad-hoc staff that were earlier trained but placed on reserve.
This was confirmed by the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr. Kayode Idowu, in a telephone interview on Sunday.

Beyonce And Rihanna Can Take Off Their Clothes For Playboy, Not Me....... Jennifer Hudson
After losing over 80lbs on her Weight Watchers diet, Jennifer Hudson expressed her new found love for her size six, telling InStyle magazine, “I have a serious shopping problem now. It got to a point where I could barely get in my bedroom,” referring to the massive clothes piling up in her house. She even says that her new bod is responsible for some changes she’s noticed in her powerful vocal chords. Hudson tells British Daybreak, "When I was in high school, I could do (sing) the whole piano. Now that I've lost weight my voice is getting back to that same state."
She also recently came under fire for some questionable comments she made concerning singers Beyoncé and Rihanna. While

All the fabulous clothes I can wear and get sent, I joke that I'm like a walking billboard now," she told The Daily Mirror. “But I won't be taking my clothes off – no way at all. Beyoncé and Rihanna can have that. I like to cover up more. I won't do Playboy. That's just not me."
Hudson was later prodded via Twitter to further explain her comments, where she told fans they simply misunderstood her. "I think yal know me better than that. I love both Beyonce n Rihanna. I hate when people try to be messy . B n Ri know me better than that 2″.

You have been in the industry for the past two decades; does it not call for celebration?Well, I didn’t do a major celebration because basically I didn’t want the attraction in the sense that I didn’t want to create any buzz around it.
You have been in the industry for the past two decades; does it not call for celebration?Well, I didn’t do a major celebration because basically I didn’t want the attraction in the sense that I didn’t want to create any buzz around it.
How was it when you started?
It wasn’t a feasible industry in Nigeria then; we were only shooting soap operas on national television. The end of 1993 came with home videos when Kenneth Nnebue shot Living in Bondage and it was successful. By 1994, everybody was thinking of going into home video and being one of the popular faces already on TV then, it was easy for me.
Did your parents really approve your going into the movie industry?
My mum is a very liberal woman. I became very independent even at a tender age and she gave me a free hand. She was not really concerned about
