As earlier reported on this site, People Magazine got the exclusives to Kim Kardashian's wedding pics and here they are.

I love her gowns but I prefer the second set (the one on the right). As for her sisters' gowns... they looked stunning in them. The colour scheme of black and white is equally lovely........ especially in the venue deco. However I am not a big fan of the cake, too plain for my liking, no wow! factor to it. Expected to see something elaborate.

I  must confess she looked stunning though.

Word has it that Nollywood actor Jim Iyke is currently working on his clothing line called 'Untamed Closet'. The former Globacom ambassador who was dropped recently has been busy shuttling between Istanbul and Dubai where he is putting finishing touches to the collection. It is basically going to be a men's affair as it is made up of ties, shirts, suits and boxers.

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson got married to Prince Odianose Okojie today at Christ Embassy church Lagos. 

Mercy looked every inch like a princess in her A line gown, while, her prince charming Odianose looked dapper in his cream and gold coloured embroidered suit. 

After the church service, guests proceeded to 10 degrees event centre for the reception. Guests at the event included Waje, Yvonne Nelson, Empresh Njamah, Genevieve Nnaji and a host of other guests.

50 Virgins Needed To Avert Fresh Flooding In Lagos

Gist has it that a team of Lagos state spiritualists have warned that the state will soon experience an additional rush of heavy rain fall as well as flooding unless 50 virgins are provided for an urgent ritual topacify the gods. They’ve warned that unless proper recommendations are followed, the approaching floods will probably be like the scriptural floods like in the times of Noah.

This group stated that the virgins must be indigenes of Lagos, be old enough to get married and be extremely beautiful. This idea is to make the virgins dance naked at Lagos Bar Beach in the middle of the night, singing as well as pleading with Yemoja (Goddess of the sea) to please spare Lagos and its people.

Karen, nice to have you!

Yes, it’s a pleasure to have you too, TELL (general laughter)

I’m from Warri, Urhobo.

I carry first now.

How does it feel to win $200,000?

It feels good to know that people actually love you, talking about the audience, Nigeria and the people of Africa. I feel honoured and great.

Did you ever think you would win it?

No. I was just thinking of minding my business and they called my name. I was so surprised and shocked. It still feels like a dream to me. Maybe by the time I wake up from this dream, it would be like five years later.

So, do you know what you would you do with the money now?

I don’t know. I wasn’t even thinking I want this money or that it would fall on my laps. And it fell. So, I’m still in shock. But, I’m still saying that whatever I’m going to do with it is going to be positive. I need to relax, think properly, to know what I want.

Your mother seems to be your number one role model?

Yes.

Tell us about her.

My mum is my role model because she’s been through a lot in her life. She had me when she was 16. She has eight kids, I’m the first. She left my dad when I was two years old. She’s been through a lot and she got married to my step-dad.

Where is she now?

(Pause)… Don’t worry; she’s still alive.

During one of your chat room sessions, you talked about never meeting your dad. How does it feel like never knowing your dad and how did it mould you into who you are today?

It made me strong, brave and courageous. God has a purpose for me. Something has to happen for another thing to happen, isn’t it? So knowing my dad wasn’t the end of the world. It means I have a story to tell, which was telling my story in the chat room for Africa to hear. And at the end of the day, I just knew my dad like in the few last days before he died, when I went to live with him. A week after, he died. So you see where the bad luck is coming from. It really is nothing at the end of the day because I feel God already has and still has a plan for me.

How old were you when you went to live with him?

I was 14.

So you knew your dad for just a week?

I knew I had a dad. But I don’t know the first or last thing about him. All I knew is that

Nigeria's minister of Finance Dr Ngozi Iweala has made Forbes most powerful Women in the world list again. Other women who made the list include Vogue's editor Anna Wintour, Michelle Obama, Nonkululeko Nyembezi-Heita, Beyonce,Hilary Clinton and a host of other amazing women.

Okonjo Iweala came in at number 87,Beyonce was number 18, while Anna Wintour was 69, Michelle Obama was 8, Oprah Winfrey was 14,Sonia Gandhi came in at number 7,Queen Elizabeth was 49 and President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia claimed the 62 spot.

The Intouch Magazine That Sparked The Will & Jada Split Rumour & Marc Anthony Is To Blame?

This is the Intouch edition that sparked the rumour concerning Will and Jada's alleged split.

According to the mag, Will became suspicious when he started hearing gossip  that Jada was becoming too close to Jennifer Lopez's ex Marc Anthony (they both starred in an upcoming movie together )
The article claims Will was left in floods of tears after catching Marc and Jada together in their Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles.

It has been reported  that Will and Jada have gotten their legal team involved as they plan to take possible legal action  against the magazine.

Hollywood power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have reportedly separated. The pair who have been married for 13 years have decided to call it quits according to Instyle magazine. 

They actually looked like a happy family when pictures they took in their home for a magazine surfaced.

I am really shocked. I actually thought they will never separate, you know those couples you look up to and say come what may, they will never part. I really admired the way they went about their marital affairs. I sincerely hope it isn't true.

KORA Awards Boss Arrested By Nigerian Police...Wanted In Burkina Faso

Word has it that the executive producer of KORA Awards,  Earnest Adjovi was arrested by  men of the Nigerian Police Force, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos recently. He was to be detained at the police station when his lawyer pleaded that he should be moved to a more conducive place to react to the allegation of fraud against him by the Lagos State Government.

Adjovi had a deal to stage KORA Awards in Cross River State before the annulment of Gov. Liyel Imoke’s election in 2008. By then, he had already got an upfront of $2.5m but while the governor was up and about fighting to secure his mandate, Adjovi dumped the state for Lagos where he entered into a fresh deal. Again, he got an advance fee of $7.5m from the Lagos State Government but did not deliver on his own side of the contract again. Unknown to the government of both states he fled Nigeria to host KORA Awards in Mogadishu, Burkina Faso where both P-Square and  Reggae artiste King Wadada won awards in the artist of the year and the gospel categories respectively. As at now not a dime of their prize money has been given to the artists.

As if that wasn't bad enough, cops from Lagos State Police Command, X-Squad picked him up again. His sin this time was breach of contract against the management of Z-Mirage, one of his partners. He failed to redeem N11m he ought to have paid after the last event he contracted Z-Mirage for.He reached an agreement to leave his Hummer Jeep as a collateral with another pledge of paying N3m in three weeks and pay up the rest later, but in installments.

He has allegedly fled to his home town in Ivory Coast. Strangely  the government of Burkina Faso is also alleged to be on his trail.

  When there is love, there is no going back and that is exactly what is happening to Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson as she gets married  to  Edo state born Prince Odianose Okojie (contrary to what some people claim he is not a Bini prince but from the Ishan speaking tribe of Edo State) on August 27th 2011. Word has it that Christ Embassy is not going to take chances as they have written a letter to the Lagos State police command asking for police protection.

She also released a press statement via her PR agency........

Some called it a trial of love while others said it is a triumph of love, but for Mercy Johnson, it is simply a leap of faith.

We would like to formally inform the general public especially Mercy Johnson fans that after several legal and spiritual consultations, Mercy Johnson has decided to go ahead with the wedding plans.
