My birthday...The Call , Pepper Soup and Nicki Minaj

It was my birthday two Saturdays back and unlike last year when I travelled for my birthday, I had no plans for this year.

The only thing I had my mind on was to CONSUME Pepper soup. For some reason I was craving for it and it just had to be prepared by my mum. I reminded her about it and she gave me the side eye, telling me that I was beginning to sound like a 'cracked record' with my talk of pepper soup all the time. I just stared blinking like a kid who was caught stealing. I had no words. What would I have said, I was the one begging....”after all beggar nor get choice” so, I had to take whatever I got. My eyes were on the price . :-)

Birthday came and at exactly 12 midnight my family swooped on me with pecks and kisses wishing me happy birthday. Then the calls and text messages came in. Mama prayed for me. And I said my own private prayers which included “Lord please remove the spirit of read and not comment from my blog”.....Loool!! I’m kidding. But it will be nice if you guys do that more. :-)

It wasn’t exactly the same because most of my siblings weren't around. They were away on their NYSC assignment and I missed them so much. I guess it dawned on me that we are all grown and we are about to go into the world (that’s how my mama puts it).

Friends came in later in the day, we ate and had fun. I was temporarily  transported to my past when I got a phone call.

 I noticed the number was not familiar but I picked it never the less. I wasn’t going to screen calls today.

The voice .....I can never forget that voice. “Happy birthday Princess”.

Yeah!!. I dated Bobo (that is his ‘coded’ name) some years back. I was innocent then (let your mind wander nah una know oh...).

You know when you innocently give your all and throw yourself into a relationship...unfortunately I left with my heart broken to pieces...hehe). Our break up was quite bitter and we did speak until my birthday. He has been calling and said he wants to see me.

Problem now is that I don’t know why my heart is doing me tinini tenene. I don’t even know how I’ll react when I see him

I’ve been guarding the little piece of my heart I was able to pick but this call .....hmm let’s see what happens.

In related gist...I found out Nicki Minaj and I share the same birthday and  I ain’t famzing oh!! :D.

When I told my younger brother he said... “I’m not surprised at all. You people have something in common. You both love drama”. Huh!!*surprised face*,

Guys I don’t know where he got that from because I’m not like that at all!! Ok! *rolls eyes* Maybe I love a lil bit of drama (come on, imagine the world without women and their wahala drama) .....but not on Nicki Minaj’s scale. Hehehehe!
