American Sprinter Tyson Gay Suspended For Doping

American Sprinter Tyson Gay has been suspended by the U.S. Anti Doping Agency (USADA) for testing positive to banned substances.

Gay who is the joint second fastest man over 100m in history behind Bolt, has also returned the silver medal he won at the 2012 London Olympics.

The standard period of suspension if found guilty of doping is 2 years but Tyson was handed 1 year because he co-operated with USADA. His ban started last year June 23, the day his sample was collected.
