Nigerian Born Stars, Uzo Aduba and David Oyewole nominated for 2015 Emmys + List of Nominees

Nigerian born stars David Oyelowo, and Uzo  Aduba  have both been nominated in this year's Emmy awards.
While David was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a mini-series or Movie category for his role in Nightingale,  Uzo was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category for her role as "Crazy Eyes" in "Orange is the new Black".

Other nominees include the host of last night's MAMAs, Anthony Anderson for his role in Blackish (if you don't watch Blackish, what are you waiting for, huh? I love! love !! Love!!!  the show),Queen Latifah and Angela Basset.

Both  Funke Akindele's look alike, Taraj P. Henson of  hit TV series 'Empire' and Viola Davis of How to get away with murder will slug it out in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category. The pair made history with their nominations as this is the first time two black actresses are being nominated at the same time . If either of them wins, it would be the first time ever in the history of Emmy awards, a black actress has won in that category.
