Watch: Workers in Edo State protest unpaid 9 months salary

Local Government workers in Edo State took to the streets to protest the non payment of  their salaries for the past 9 months.
According to one of the protesters, they have been struggling to survive and this is one of the reasons the Local Government councils have been fighting for autonomy from the State Government led by Comrade Adams Oshiomole,  so they can run their affairs.

The LG workers aren't the only people fighting for autonomy in the State. The State Judiciary has  also gone on strike over the issue of  autonomy and non payment of salaries for months. They also allege that they have lost some members as a result of the hardship they are going through.
