The African Union launched what is intended to be a single passport for Africans earlier this year and the first recipients  were the Chairperson of the African Union, Idris Deby Itno and Rwandan president Paul Kagame. It is intended to help in the free flow of people and goods on the continent.

The passport which has five languages used for inscriptions on it; French, English,Portuguese, Arabic, and Swahili is however only available to diplomats for now. Word has it that it would be launched for others in 2063.
