Edo State moves to curtail Funali herdsmen by getting data base

Gov. Obaseki and Alhaji Sahabi Umar
The governor of the state, Gov. Obaseki, has revealed that he has put measures on ground to curtail the menace of herdsmen attacking indigenes of the State. According to the governor, his administration plans to have a database of Northern settlers in the state.
The governor also revealed that, a committee will be set up to carry out community by community delineation of northern settlers across the state to help identify new comers to the State and their aims.
He said this while meeting with members of Arewa Community in the state led by their President General, Alhaji Sahabi Umar.

This is coming on the heels of the molestation and killing of Edo State indigenes in the state by suspected funali herdsmen, one of whom was Margaret Udiamehi.
