Roger Federer Now Has The Highest Wimbledon Singles Titles

The tennis champ made history, when he defeated Marin Cilic 6-3 6-1 6-4 yesterday making it his 19th title and 8th Wimbledon crown. It took him just 14 years to achieve the feat......because he won his first title 14 years ago.

His win has not only made him the first man to win 8 Wimbledon singles titles, the highest so far, he is also the oldest men’s singles champion at Wimbledon, in the professional era.
The player had this to say about his win.....
“It’s magical,” Federer said courtside. “I can’t believe it yet. It’s too much. I kept on believing and dreaming and here I am today for my eighth title. I hope to be back to defend it next year.”
