Nigerian Doctors Call Off Strike

Reports have it that National Association of Resident Doctors, have called off their strike. The strike which began early this month (4/9/17), crippled activities in different public hospitals across the nation.

The doctors are said to
have called off the strike in the early hours of today (Thursday, 14/9/17) .

According to the Chairman of NARD, UCH, Ibadan chapter, Segun Olaopa, the strike will be reviewed in 2 weeks time to ascertain how far the government goes in fulfilling their own end of the agreement. He also revealed that they were moved to call off the strike following appeals from members of the public.

“The decision was reached following appeals from the public that the doctors should give the federal government more time to meet their demands.”
