Youths Protests Police Killing of Young Man + Gov. Obaseki Sues for Peace (Video)

According to the story, a policeman and a male civilian were arguing at 3rd junction, Ikpoba Hill, Edo State.
They were allegedly arguing over a bribe. Things got heated and the policeman pushed him into the road.

Unfortunately a trailer picked him and crushed him to death. Understandably, youths in the community took to the streets to protest his death.

The State governor, Gov. Obaseki has however asked the youths to remain calm.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr Crusoe Osagie, the governor asked the people to remain calm and asked them to cooperate with security agencies to bring them to book.

“The relevant security agencies are on the alert to quell further breakdown of law and order in the area. We also appeal to the people to be calm and cooperate with security agencies to bring in those responsible for the unrest.”
